Yay I was chosen for an etsy treasury??

I am glad to see that people other than me enjoy my work. ^^

My new skirt was chosen to be included in an etsy treasury for green and brown. It’s interesting how they all go so well together.

Finally!

Sorry for such a long wait….things have been a little zany around here.

Recently, I drove up to Cleveland with my boyfriend’s parents in order to see Alan graduate. It was an exciting event, but a harrowing drive. I crocheted myself out on the way up and gave myself a headache…but, I finally finished the toddler skirt and made a pair of booties for the etsy shop. YAY

While up North we also visited his sister’s ranch in Butler, Pennsylvania. It was a beautiful change from the paved highway and rest stops we saw on the drive up.

Now we’re back and trying to ease ourselves back into daily life. Myself working and crocheting….Al, trying to find a job in this crazy economy.

Anyways…

The pattern is from naturallycaron.com, but I’ve modified it a little. You should see it in the shop by the end of the week…hopefully. Currently available in chocolate mint (green/cocoa)

Top not included, not exact colors, custom orders available.

New project

Beginning of the ruffles, and a new color! yay

Sorry for such a delay in posting my newest projects. I’ve been working on a couple of spring items in my etsy shop.

I’ve been trying to finish up the toddler skirt I have been working in, but it involves 8 inches of straight sc so it took me what seems like forever to actually get to the interesting portion. Then, just as I was getting to the ruffle I ran out of green yarn, with only just a couple more rows of that color to go. >.<

After putting it down for a day, I almost gave in to going to the store for more (although I’d have to pay in change) when I discovered a mysterious bag of yarn which held small balls of several of my colors….including my green yarn needed for the skirt!!!!

I did a little dance and celebrated with a cup o’ tea ^^

A perfect end to a perfect day….now to finish it up. Look fir it in my shop very soon.

Pictured is the beginning of the skirt, and then the beginning of the ruffles. I used dk sport acrylic yarn. I’m currently using a pattern from ravelry, but you know how that goes…I may need to make some adjustments. So far so good though. The finished product will be lime green and brown with a ruffled bottom and tie at the top.

Why is it that my cats are magnetized to my face?

It seems that every time I’m doing something important Lucy and Dandy always find a way to get all up in my face. This happens a lot when I’m crafting, they especially enjoy chewing through my yarn while I’m working with it. Now I’m studying for my finals and I swear to god if they don’t get outta my face I’m gonna go crazy. I love them to death, but it’s like they’re magnetized to your face when you are busy with something.

Man, someone should invent a cat face repellent….it’d be awesome, and greatly appreciated.

Even has the audacity to YAWN in my face.

So, like many of my friends I have decided to begin a blog to help keep track of all my crafting.  ^^ I’m not copying you I swear….haha.  Anyways, this preliminary post is just to get things going.  I’ve been crafting like mad all evening but I just don’t have the energy to post what I’ve made.  I’m in the process of discovering the world of blogging and how it works so please be patient with me, I’m a slow learner when it comes to technology.  I’d rather crochet you my blog, but time does not permit so this will have to do.  In the meantime, feel free to check out my etsy at: www.dandycrafts.etsy.com
